Porches:  Bringing the Outside In

A new trend in living and entertaining in Atlanta?  Based on the number of porches Weidmann has been asked to build this year  – it sure looks like it! 

Constructed as natural extensions of the existing homes, each project provides new space unique to the individual clients.  One client obtained an open, airy space which blends seamlessly with the existing hardscape through the incorporation of  brick and stone.  Another’s window on the world gave way to French doors that allow them to see and experience the great outdoors in their new screen porch.  One more client gained a complete entertainment space, with two distinct focal points – the screened porch that demands attention with the plasma television mounted above the mantle on the stone fireplace while the cooking station calls out for a barbecue.

Each of these porches and decks have added beauty and versatility, while increasing the value of the home at the same time.  The only problem – how do the homeowners keep this wonderful new space to themselves when the neighbors find out!
